Carbon construction for light weight and strength. Up to half the weight of the factory hood. By reducing the front weight of the car, under steer is greatly reduced and the cars handling is improved. Bonnet pins are not required due to their sturdy construction and molded in hood latches.

The weight of the SPOON carbon bonnet is 7 kg and 52% lighter than the original bonnet weight of 14.5 kg for the FK7.

The biggest weak point of the tenth generation Civic is the weight of the car, reducing the weight of the front section not only alleviates the burden of braking but also improves agility for improved handling.

The design of the SPOON carbon bonnet retain the factory shape for a simple and clean look.

However, the heat from the turbo engine on this tenth generation Civic was excessive, and it was necessary to reduce the heat inside the engine room as much as possible. Therefore, the bonnet for FK7 is not only lightweight, but also has an air outlet inside the hood finished in a shape that allows the hot air in the engine room and turbo to escape. By providing an air outlet of the engine room, the cooling performance of the radiator and intercooler is maximized.
